According to users on TikTok and Reddit, Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup bottles also feature a hidden cap lock on the back of the lid, which helps keep the cap open while squeezing and minimizes potential mess. If it’s a Hershey brand bottle, flip the cap all the way back, it locks into place so you do not end up with a messy cap. To lock the Hershey’s syrup cap, find the small plastic notch or nub on the back of the hinge behind the lid. From there, flip the lid all the way back and press it firmly against the small notch behind the hinge until you hear a click. And that’s it! Now, the lid is clear of the pour zone, preventing messy drips on your hands and crusty chocolate buildup around the spout.
